Lovely Living

This month the Department of Energy has seen the fruits of enviro-minded Universities from around the globe. Each given a $100K grant, they designed solar homes with new technologies and just last week set them up and had them all displayed at the National Mall in D.C.

Check out Penn State's house below, which included a Mrs. Olsen delight...living wall with herbs in the kitchen. For more solar homes, check out http://www.solardecathlon.org/

I can totally see you living in a house like that someday...in tune with nature and saving the planet!

Holy cow, this is amazingly innovative..old chalk boards from the university? Plus, it's attractive on the inside. WHen you get a house like this, we'll be sure to come visit!

How cool is that?? Talk about being self-sufficient! I loved the coffee table they made of scrap wood!

I have missed your blogs. Sorry we can't make it to Advent's open house this week.

I agree with Monica--I can see you living in that house.
Been missing you, Mrs. Olsen.
